Maya immigrated to Canada when she was sixteen dreaming of one day becoming a fashion designer. She was a curious kid always looking into her family’s closet. She always carried a little sketch book with her to draw imaginary outfits.

 

Curiosity is something that drives her creativity and had been a large part of the successes she has had so far. When she moved to Canada as a teenager she had to figure out what she wanted to do with her life.  Even at a that’s age it already seemed everyone knew exactly where they wanted to study for their post-secondary education.

 

Maya is graduating from KPU with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Technology. She is pursuing her dream of becoming an influential fashion designer. She has a very active lifestyle and has built a following as a fitness influencer. Fitness is the core of her inspiration when it comes to designing functional pieces.
